The President of the Nigeria Bloggers Forum Association, Mr. Imonikhe Prince Jay, has organized a one-million-man solidarity march in support of the Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Edet Otu.


The march was organized to demonstrate public support for the governor and acknowledge what the organizers described as his efforts toward the development and well-being of the people of Cross River State.



The procession commenced at Parklane in Calabar and proceeded to the Cross River State Government House, where the participants were received by Governor Bassey Edet Otu and other government officials.


Among those present at the event was Phyna, winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7, who joined the gathering and applauded Governor Otu for what she described as his positive impact and commitment to the state.


Speaking during the reception, Governor Otu expressed surprise and appreciation for the large show of support from the people and participants.




The governor thanked the organizers and the participants for the gesture, assuring them that he remains committed to delivering on his administration’s responsibilities and working for the overall development of Cross River State.


He said the support would further encourage his administration to remain focused on its programs and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of residents across the state.




The solidarity march ended at the Government House, with participants reaffirming their support for the administration and its development agenda for Cross River State.

Concerned Nigerian youths and road users have issued a powerful appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Delta State Government, urging urgent intervention to rehabilitate the severely deteriorated roads connecting Edo State, Warri, Asaba, and Ebu in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.


The deplorable state of these roads has inflicted serious hardship on motorists, traders, farmers, students, transport operators, and residents who rely on these routes daily. Of particular concern is the road leading to Ebu, which becomes nearly impassable during heavy rains, leaving travelers stranded for hours.

This situation is more than just an infrastructure issue-it is a humanitarian crisis. The poor roads escalate transportation costs, cause vehicle damage, disrupt businesses, and expose citizens to unnecessary risks.

The group behind the appeal stresses the need for urgent collaboration between the Federal and Delta State governments to rehabilitate and reconstruct these vital roads.

“No Nigerian should have to fear for their safety simply because they are traveling from one community to another,” the statement reads.

Signed by Hon. Ambassador Godspower Chukwudi Ekpoluonye on behalf of Concerned Nigerian Youths and Road Users Nationwide, this non-political appeal calls for prompt government action to restore mobility, economic activity, safety, and hope to thousands of Nigerians affected by these failing roads.


The time to act is now—improving these roads will not only save lives but also rejuvenate the local economy and uplift communities.

According to the group, Governor and Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu has remained committed to rebuilding Cross River State since assuming office, despite inheriting significant financial obligations from the previous administration. Residents of Cross River State have commended Governor Senator Bassey Edet Otu for what they described as remarkable developmental strides, urging critics to allow him to remain focused on delivering the dividends of democracy.

The commendation comes amid criticism from some political opponents over the governor’s projects, particularly the newly constructed Cross River State House of Assembly Complex.

One of the residents and a supporter of the governor, Anthony Timothy, Deputy Director of the Nigeria Bloggers Forum Association, described the edifice as a world-class structure that reflects a bold vision for the state’s future. He noted that its architectural design compares favorably with iconic government buildings in other parts of the world.

According to him, the Assembly Complex symbolizes purposeful leadership and the administration’s commitment to developing enduring public infrastructure.

“Rather than attracting criticism, such projects should be celebrated as investments that will serve generations to come,” he said.

Timothy also commended Governor Otu for implementing development initiatives across key sectors, including infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, economic revitalization, and urban renewal.
