[GIST] Mr Eazi’s Empawa Signs Global Publishing Deal With American Management Company, Kobalt

Mr Eazi’s record label, Empawa has signed a global publishing deal with American Management Company, Kobalt.

Founded by Mr Eazi inorder to help new artistes reach their full potential musically by equipping them with the knowledge and funding to do so, it currenty houses the likes of J.Derobie, Killertunes, GuiltyBeatz, and Whoisakin who are prominent acts in the music business.
The partnership with the independent African music company includes publishing administration, creative services, and sync for all of emPawa’s catalog and future works. Taking to his Twitter page to make the annoucement, he wrote: “A step in the right direction, super excited to announce this partnership between @emPawaAfrica Publishing & @kobalt took 3 years to happen big up @JoelRyanB for his influence & Guidance in closing this. Time to WORK!!!!”
Laurent Hubert, CEO, Kobalt Music, “Mr Eazi and his team have built up an impressive catalog in a short amount of time. The excitement from their music and mission should be represented worldwide and we look forward to supporting them through our global creative teams and administration.”

Mr Eazi continues his rapid rise to the top of African music royalty.



The Empawa African frontier has received two Grammy certifications from the Recording Academy for his contribution on two Grammy award winning projects.


Mr Eazi has added two Grammy certificate to his belt for his contribution to Angelique Kidjo’s ‘Mother Nature’ and Major Lazer’s ‘Music Is A Weapon (Reloaded).’

Mr. Eazi contributed to Angelique Kidjo’s ‘Mother Nature’ as a featured artiste, the album won the Grammy award for Best Global Music Album whiles his contribution to Major Lazer’s ‘Music Is A Weapon (Reloaded)’ as a composer also bagged the award for Best Dancehall/Electronic Music


The ‘Sample You’ hit-maker took to his official and verified social media platforms to share the certifications he had received from the recording academy.
